About the College

The College of Dentistry was established by a Royal Decree on 1432/08/07 After years of study and clinical training, the college awards its graduates a bachelor’s degree in surgery and dentistry.f Students study their first year at the deanship of preparatory year. They then move to the College of Dentistry at the beginning of the second year. Their study then continues until the sixth year to complete the program and graduate. Additionally, the students are required to complete the internship year where there will be intensive clinical training that includes all dental specialties. Until now, the college has graduated the first and second batches.h The college graduates occupy the profession of a general dentist and work in the field of providing primary health care for all age groups both independently and in cooperation with allied health groups, dental professionals and other healthcare providers.j The bachelor's program is in the process of accreditation by the Education and Training Evaluation Commissioni.h The College of Dentistry also offers a three-year program of master's degree in Public Health, which aims to enable students to understand the basic principles of dental public health. In cooperation with the College of Applied Medical Sciences, the College of Dentistry offers a diploma program in dental hygiene, which aims to train highly qualified oral and dental hygienists. The program duration is five semesters, which are followed by a six-month internship program.h
